Procedures

Preferring that you give careful independent thought to your project, we intentionally do not provide a form for grant applications. We look for the following information in proposals.

  • Name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and contact person of your organization.
  • A brief description of the backgrounds of the people who would be working on your project.
  • If you have any of the following, a copy of your mission statement, organizational goals, and names and addresses of board members.
  • A description of the nature, purpose, and length of time of your charitable work, and your plans for the next three years.
  • A comparison of your charity with others in the area providing similar services.
  • A general breakdown of your present funding, including a description of any government assistance you receive.
  • A statement of how your work and your proposal fit our governing principles.
  • A description of the help you would like from Freedom 22.

We ask that proposals be limited to five pages. Proposals are considered throughout the year, but we encourage you to meet our semiannual deadlines, June 1 and December 1, to be part of our regular review of proposals in those months.

You may send your proposal to:
